Has Northern Fans reputation been damaged – no the Northern Fans brand continues to go from strength to strength with an ever growing customer portfolio and reputation for being leaders in their field.
So why change?
The answer in part is in the statements above.
We are growing, and so is the building services industry. In the past few years changes in regulations which govern air movement have been introduced at an incredible rate.
Although in simple terms a fan still moves air from one area to another, how that’s now achieved is determined by so many factors. We now have Co, Co2, humidity, temperature, energy, carbon, noise, odour - levels to name a few to consider in the selection of our simple air mover.
We also have changes to regulations which covers safety including ATEX and Gas Safety with the introduction of BS6173, you need much more than the simple air moving fan.
These changes not only affect the building services industry, but also the Automotive, Chemical, and any other industry which requires air movement.
Suddenly we are not supplying only fans but full integrated systems with heat recovery, low carbon, energy efficiency, ec/dc motors and intelligent controls being a large part of meeting today’s specification.
So why change?
Northern - indicates we're from “up north”, although we now cover the whole of the UK mainland, parts of Europe and hopefully in the future all areas of the World.
Fan - indicates we sell fans, however as you’ve read in the above there’s so much more to the business than selling fans, with intelligent controls becoming an integral part of it
Supplies - indicates we only supply the products, but we offer help with design, interpretation and implementation of existing and future regulations, including help in choosing a tailored solution for all our customers regardless of which area of the business they compete, we help our customers succeed.
So why change?
We think we’re at the dawn of a new era and “EIV Ltd” gives us the opportunity to grow the brand which offers the flexibility to develop in tandem with the whole “air movement” industry, and in the future move into areas which enhance and complement our present position.
We’re already seen as leaders in our ever growing field, we want in the future to be No1 in our field and to be considered as an asset to our customers and the industry.
